This is a mini Herend ring tray or trinket dish in the Queen Victoria pattern, made around 1970. It’s a petite, shallow catchall with a soft green border, a scalloped gold edge, and a bright hand‑painted floral spray in the center. The colors are lively and crisp, and the glaze is glossy, showing only the lightest signs of age, so it rates as near mint. Set it on a dresser, vanity, or by the sink to keep rings and earrings in one place. It adds a bit of cheerful color and old‑world charm to everyday routines.
Herend is the storied Hungarian porcelain maker founded in 1826, famous for true hand painting on hard‑paste porcelain and real gold accents. The Queen Victoria pattern is its signature design. After the 1851 Great Exhibition in London, Queen Victoria ordered a service, and the lively mix of peonies, leaves, and playful butterflies was named in her honor. Each piece is painted by an individual artist and fired multiple times for depth and durability. The underside typically shows the Herend Hungary backstamp along with painter marks, which collectors look for. The pattern comes in various colorways, layers beautifully with other tableware, and tends to hold its value thanks to its craftsmanship and history.
