This Herend Queen Victoria bonbonniere from 1960 is a domed porcelain jewelry or trinket box in near mint condition. The glossy white ground is hand painted with butterflies and peony branches, finished with a crisp band of gilding around the seam. Colors are bright and clean—greens, purples, lemon and coral—set off by a smooth glaze. The lid seats neatly and lifts to a spotless interior for rings or keepsakes. No chips, cracks, or stains are visible, and the gold remains strong with only the lightest handling. A small, elegant piece that brings mid‑century charm to any vanity or shelf.

Herend, founded in 1826 in Hungary, is famed for hard‑paste porcelain still shaped and painted entirely by hand. The Queen Victoria pattern debuted at London’s 1851 Great Exhibition, when the monarch ordered a service and gave the design its name. Inspired by Asian export wares, it mixes fluttering butterflies and blooming peonies with scalloped gilding. Artisans freehand the enamels, apply 24k gold, and fire pieces several times to set color and shine. Typical marks include the Herend shield and VBO pattern code. Bonbonnieres and small boxes are part of the line, and mid‑century examples are valued for their color and craftsmanship.

Condition: Near Mint
Height: 3.5″ (8.75cm)
Width: 7″ (17.5cm)
Length: 7″ (17.5cm)
Diameter: 7″ (17.5cm)
Year Manufactured: 1980

This is a stunning vintage crystal glass centerpiece bowl, made around the year 1980. The bowl is hand cut in the classic Bohemian style, which is known for its high quality and intricate glasswork. It measures about three and a half inches tall and seven inches across, so it’s a good size for displaying fruit, candies, or even just as a decorative piece on a table or shelf. The design features elegant, wavy edges and a detailed, almost floral-like cut pattern that catches the light beautifully. Given its age—over 40 years—it’s impressive to see that this piece is in near mint condition, which is pretty rare for something that’s likely seen a few decades of use or display.

Bohemian crystal is a famous brand and style that originates from the region of Bohemia, now part of the Czech Republic. For centuries, Bohemian glassmakers have been celebrated for producing some of the finest crystal in the world, prized for its clarity, brilliance, and skilled craftsmanship. Pieces like this bowl are usually handmade, which adds to their collectible value. The popularity of Bohemian crystal peaked in the mid-20th century, but genuine vintage pieces from the 1980s are still sought after by collectors and people who appreciate well-made home décor. They’re often considered a sign of elegance and a touch of old-world charm in modern homes. Finding a hand-cut Bohemian bowl in such great shape is not something that happens every day, making it a terrific find for anyone who enjoys vintage glassware or wants to add a bit of sparkle and history to their living space.
