This is a Herend Apponyi dessert plate in the Raspberry Chinese Bouquet pattern, shape 515/AP, made in 1980. Measuring 6 inches in diameter and about 1 inch high, it’s a small, elegant plate for cake or fruit. The scalloped rim is edged in real gold, and the white porcelain shows Herend’s crisp basketweave texture with pink floral sprays and a central bouquet. Condition is near mint—no chips, cracks, or noticeable wear to the gilding—so it’s ready to display or use on special occasions. At roughly 46 years old, it qualifies as true vintage and has the refined look collectors expect from Herend.

Herend, the Hungarian porcelain house founded in 1826, is known for hand-painted, kiln-fired pieces finished with 24k gold. The Apponyi, or Chinese Bouquet, pattern is a streamlined take on Herend’s earlier Indian Basket motif, created for Count Albert Apponyi around 1930. Raspberry (sometimes called Apponyi Purple) is among the most loved colorways. Code 515 refers to the dessert size on the Osier basketweave blank. Each plate takes many hours of brushwork, so production is limited. While not ultra-rare, 1980 examples in near mint condition are increasingly hard to find and tend to hold their value over the years.

This is a vintage Herend shell-shaped porcelain dish from 1980, decorated in the PBR floral pattern with a big hand‑painted pink rose and scattered blossoms, finished with rich gold trim. It measures about 3 inches high, 8.5 inches wide, and 9 inches long. The dish is in near mint condition, with crisp colors and clean gilding, the kind of piece you set on a dresser for jewelry or on a sideboard for sweets and keys. At roughly 46 years old, it’s firmly vintage and not something you see every day—especially this clean—so it’s a nice, display‑ready find.

Herend Porcelain of Hungary has been making hand‑painted, hard‑paste porcelain since 1826. The company became famous after Europe’s royals, including Queen Victoria at the 1851 Great Exhibition, began ordering dinner services. Every piece is shaped, painted, and gilded by artisans; the gold accents are typically 24k, and the underside carries the Herend shield mark and work numbers. Shell dishes like this were popular cabinet or serving pieces, blending useful size with an elegant, curvy form. The PBR pattern is a classic Herend bouquet featuring a prominent rose, prized by collectors who like floral motifs. To keep it pristine, hand wash only and avoid abrasives or dishwashers.

Photos form part of the description. Exact item shown; please review all images carefully.
This is a Herend Bouquet de Fleurs openwork plate from around 1960, sitting low at 1 inch tall and measuring 9.5 inches across in width, length, and diameter. It’s near mint, with bright glaze, crisp painting, and clean gilding. The center holds a lively hand-painted bouquet—pinks, yellows, blues, and fresh green leaves—while the rim shows a pierced lattice framed by rosy scrolls and flowers. The plate feels delicate but sturdy, the kind of cabinet piece you set on a stand and enjoy every day. At about 66 years old, it’s vintage, and the reticulated rim makes it the scarcer version.

Herend, founded in 1826 in Hungary, is famed for hand-painted porcelain made start‑to‑finish by artisans. Royal households and world fairs helped put the brand on the map, and patterns like Queen Victoria and Rothschild Birds became icons. Bouquet de Fleurs follows that tradition, inspired by 18th‑century European flower studies, and often marked BDF on the base. Openwork pieces are tougher to make: the lattice is hand cut, the colors fired multiple times, and the rim finished with real gold. Fewer were produced and many broke in firing, so surviving 1960 examples in near mint condition are genuinely hard to find.
