This 1970 Schaubach Kunst porcelain vase shows off a rich coral red body under a tall white neck, trimmed with a neat gold rim. The front carries a hand-painted floral in white, black, and gold; the contrast is sharp and the gilding still lively. It’s in very good vintage condition with a glossy glaze, no chips or cracks noted, and only faint shelf wear on the base from age. Display it solo as a statement piece, or drop in a few long stems—the narrow mouth and rounded, weighty shape make arranging simple.

Schaubach Kunst was a Thuringian porcelain maker celebrated for elegant modeling and lush glazes. After the war it operated in East Germany and developed close ties with the historic Wallendorf factory, founded in 1764, so some later pieces show both names. The coral red ground with generous gilding is typical of their mid‑century taste for vivid color on fine, resonant porcelain. Collectors look for crisp painting, bright gold, and clean white interiors as signs of quality. Care is easy: mild soap, a soft cloth, and no abrasives on the gilt. These vases blend classic floral themes with a bold modern palette, suiting both traditional and mid‑century rooms beautifully.

This is a Czechia Crystal Bohemia cut floral pattern vase in rich ruby red, made in 1970. A deep cranberry overlay is wheel‑cut to reveal clear leaves, blossoms, and a butterfly that sparkle in the light. Thick walls and a weighted base give it the confident heft of true Bohemian crystal. Polished cuts are crisp; the surface shows only gentle, well‑kept signs of age. A mid‑century vintage accent that adds bold color and charm anywhere.

Bohemia crystal from Czechia has been prized for centuries for its clarity, resonance, and precise hand cutting, with workshops clustered around Nový Bor and Karlovy Vary. Ruby red like this is created by casing clear crystal with a gold‑tinted layer, then cutting back the red to form the pattern—a labor‑intensive technique collectors love. In the 1970s, many pieces were exported under the Bohemia Glass label during the Cold War, and hand‑cut ruby examples are scarcer than clear ones today. Value depends on color depth, symmetry, sharpness of cuts, and any surviving label. Hand wash only and keep out of strong sun to protect the color. Pieces from this era feel solid, ring brightly, and show excellent craftsmanship by cutters.

Photos form part of the description. Exact item shown; please review all images carefully.
This is a Herend porcelain large cachepot in the Queen Victoria pattern, made around 1970. It’s a hand‑painted planter with butterflies and flowering branches on bright white porcelain, finished with generous gold trim and elegant side handles. The piece measures about 5.5 inches high, 7.5 inches wide, and 5.5 inches across, and it’s in near mint condition with crisp colors and clean gilding. At about 55 years old, it’s firmly vintage, and in this larger cachepot size it’s harder to find than plates or small vases. It works beautifully as a planter, a wine cooler, or a simple centerpiece bowl.

Herend of Hungary has been making fine porcelain since 1826, all painted by hand. The Queen Victoria pattern debuted in 1851 after Queen Victoria purchased a service at London’s Great Exhibition, giving the design its name. The look is based on 18th‑century Asian famille‑rose motifs—lots of butterflies, peonies, and leafy sprays—paired with 24k gold accents. Pieces usually carry a blue Herend shield mark and pattern code (often VBO), plus painter’s or form numbers; 1970s examples tend to show rich colors and solid gilding. Because every motif is brush‑painted, no two items are exactly alike. Larger planters were produced in relatively small batches, so a clean 1970 example like this is a fairly scarce, collector‑friendly find. Hand wash only to protect the gold.
