This is a Herend Apponyi Green reticulated porcelain basket with double handles, made in 1980 and kept in near mint condition. The open lattice sides form a diamond pattern that feels light and airy, while the scalloped rim and edges are traced with hand-applied gold. At the center sits the familiar Chinese Bouquet flower in rich emerald tones, echoed on the handles with little painted leaves and gold dashes. It’s a graceful piece that works as a candy dish, wrapped treats, or simply a pretty accent on a shelf. Surfaces are clean and glossy, with only the faintest signs of handling. Displays beautifully in country, classic, or contemporary rooms.
Herend of Hungary, founded in 1826, is celebrated for hard‑paste porcelain shaped, fired, and decorated entirely by hand.
