This is a Herend Queen Victoria three‑footed trinket box made around 1970. The round, domed little box stands on three green, scroll feet and is dressed with hand‑painted flowers and rich gold trim. Colors pop in soft pinks, blues, and fresh greens, with a neat gilt band circling the middle. It measures a tidy 3 inches tall, 3 inches wide, and 3 inches long, with a 3 inch diameter, so it’s perfect for rings, small keepsakes, or a favorite pair of earrings. Condition is near mint, with bright glaze and crisp paint. At about 56 years old, it’s firmly vintage and a charming display piece.
Herend Porcelain of Hungary has made luxury, hand‑painted porcelain since 1826. The Queen Victoria pattern debuted at London’s Great Exhibition in 1851, when Queen Victoria ordered a service; the design took her name and became iconic. Artists paint each motif by brush and finish the rims with real gold, and the pattern code is VBO. Pieces from the 1960s–1970s are sought after for their color and craftsmanship. Footed trinket boxes turn up less often than plates or teacups, so they’re a bit harder to find. A well‑kept 1970 example like this stays collectible and gift‑ready.
