This is a Herend Hungary porcelain vase in the Queen Victoria Green Border pattern, hand painted and gilded. Bright peonies, leaves, and butterflies pop against glossy white, while the mint‑green scalloped border and fine gold rim frame the artwork. Its rounded body and flared mouth feel welcoming and easy to place on a mantel, nightstand, or entry shelf. The piece is near mint, with crisp color, clean glaze, and strong gilding, showing only the lightest shelf rub on the base from gentle display. Use it for a few garden stems or let it stand alone for a neat, classic touch.

Herend has crafted hard‑paste porcelain in Hungary since 1826 and soon became a favorite of European courts. The Queen Victoria pattern debuted at London’s Great Exhibition in 1851; after the queen bought a service, the design took her name. Inspired by East‑Asian ceramics, it shows stylized peonies and butterflies in many colors, fired repeatedly for depth. Artisans brush on real gold and burnish it to a soft gleam. The Green Border variant, code VBO, adds the fresh green band. Authentic pieces bear the blue Herend shield and “Herend Hungary Handpainted,” often with a painter’s or pattern number prized by collectors.
